Individuals must possess a valid pistol license pursuant to Penal Law Section 400.00 to attend the

8 Hour Annual Firearms Training Course for Armed Security Guards. An active LEOSA card is acceptable for training, however, the individual will need a valid pistol permit to act as an armed guard. An individual who does not possess a valid pistol license or active LEOSA card is not eligible to attend the 8 Hour Annual Firearms Training Course for Armed Security Guards nor receive a certificate of completion.

Students must attend all sections of the course.
